The basics of consigning with Encores North:
You will receive 70% of the item's selling price.
You will receive two pre-sale passes to our private consignors Presale on Tuesday, February 6, one for yourself for entrance at 6pm and another for a guest for entrance at 7pm. That also includes shopping early for you at our Half Price sale on Friday, February 9 at 4pm.
There will be a $10 participant's fee deducted from your total earnings
WHAT is a consignment sale?
A consignment sale is a sale held twice a year where individuals bring in their gently used children's items to sell. The Fall sale accepts Fall and Winter clothing and accessories, including Halloween costumes and Christmas outfits. The Spring sale accepts Spring and Summer items, including Easter and swim accessories. Each consignor tags their own items and determines the pricing. All items are then dropped off at our location and the sale where we organize and display it. The consignor receives 70% of the selling price of their item minus the participant fee as listed above. Any unsold items are either picked up by the consignor on the designated pick up day or are donated to local charities. A consignment sale is a great place to make some extra money on children's items you no longer need and a FANTASTIC place to pick up new and gently used products for your children at a fraction of the retail price! We go over every item brought in to make sure you are shopping the BEST in children's items! No stained, damaged, broken or out of date items will be accepted. Our goal is for you to tell all your friends that this is the best sale north of Nashville!
HOW do I price my items?
Typically you will want to price your items about 1/2 to 1/4 of what you paid originally for the item. We suggest pricing items at 1/4 of original retail. Try to look at the item and think about what you would pay for it! A good tip is that children's clothing typically sells better in outfits versus selling in individual pieces.
HOW can I shop before the public?
There are three ways to shop before the public:
1. Become a consignor. Bring at least 15 acceptable items and you get to shop a full day before the public!
2. Become a worker. Work at least one 6 hour shift plus sort and you get to shop a full day before the consignors!
3. Barter. We are in need of several items (see barter page) and if you can help us out, you get to shop with the workers a full day before the consignors!
WHAT can I expect to find at the sale for my kids?
Everything! We will have tons of children's clothing (including tons of brand new with tags boutique and Gymboree clothing), shoes, accessories, TOYS, equipment including cribs, strollers, exersaucers, toddler beds, and maternity wear for the expecting mom.

We will be posting sales to each consignor's account during the sale. And you will have a complete list of your sold items at the end of the sale. Just click on the View Settlement Tab on the home page in your tagging account to see what has sold. It is fun to see what is selling, how much you are making...and helps with pick up!
