We will also have the Blessing Closet time for any 3 shift workers. You can shop the Blessing Closet for one hour on Sunday Feb. 17 from 2:30 – 3:30pm. All clothing and shoes will be $1 and anything else will be ½ of the original ticketed price. Cash only. All proceeds will be donated.
To shop early:
and receive all the benefits of a volunteer worker, you must commit to and follow through with one of the following:
* 3 six-hour shifts + sort Feb. 16 = shop the earliest time - 3:00pm on Feb. 7
* 2 six-hour shifts + sort Feb. 16 = shop the second time - 5:00pm on Feb. 7
* 1 six-hour shift + sort Feb. 16 = shop the third time - 10:00am on Feb. 8
* 1 four-hour shift (no sort) = shop at 1pm on Feb. 8
For those who may be hard core early shoppers, you can sign up for more than three shifts! Just sign up for your desired shifts, then email encoresnorth@gmail.com to work out your shopping time.
We have a few 4 hour shifts available on Thurs. Feb 7, Fri. Feb 8, Sat. Feb 9, Sun. Feb 10 and Fri. Feb 15. The early shopping time for this shift is Friday, Feb 8 at 1:00 pm.
The end time for worker night shopping will be 10pm. You must check-out by 10pm or you may stop at that point, label your stack, and come back any time after 10am on Friday, Feb 8.
As long as you get your job done, you will keep your place on our workers list. It will be important for you to be ready to work at the chosen time, so if you want to look around, please come early.
Remember, we love muscle men!
Send your husband or very responsible teenage son to work a shift for you or for themselves if they want to shop!
What you can expect
We have wonderful workers you will love getting to know.
We are busy from the moment we arrive until the day is done.
Shop early for the best selection and cost, with 30 workers instead of hundreds of consignors.
Drop off your items when you work (if you work on drop off!).
Pick-up on mandatory sorting day; no driving back to pick up on Sunday.
Half Price Shopping workers get to shop the afternoon before half price day.
What we expect
Your full time, attention, and energy for the entire shift
There are many aspects to pulling this sale together, and we need workers who are open to doing everything from sweeping to tagging.
Because this is a volunteer effort, we rely MORE on your help, not less. You are expected to work your scheduled shift, having arrived early enough to be ready to go when your shift starts. It hurts us and everyone you work with if you fail in your commitment to show up at your appointed time or to give 100% effort while working.
Shopping Etiquette
You may come at noon on Monday, Feb. 4 to browse, if desired. Children will only be allowed from 3 - 7pm that day, and must be at your side at all times. At 7pm, all children must leave, but browsing may be continued if needed.
At workers shopping time, only the actual workers may come in. Spouses or older children must work their own shifts to preshop. (Children who work their own shifts must be mature, over 13 years old, and must be accompanied by an adult.)
Please let us know if you have a health condition
that might prevent you from doing certain jobs, such as
pregnancy, bad back, etc. We only have a limited number of sitting jobs, and they fill up quickly.
If you have to cancel for any reason, please try to find someone to take your place (they can preshop for the shifts worked). Please text Russie immediately if you can’t find a replacement so we can fill your spot. (615-969-1319) Do not email after Jan 24, as we may not be able to check our email. If you miss your shift without calling us, we will deduct $25 from your consignment earnings. We cannot stress how important it is to be there for your shift!
Bring any food (finger foods so you can continue to work while you snack) or drink you might need during your shifts. Dress in work clothes.
Thanks and we look forward to working with you!
Russie and Connie
