ALL SALES ARE FINAL
My name is Russie Carter. I grew up in Nashville, but have lived in Franklin for the past 15 years. It is a wonderful place to call home! I am married to Jamie Carter, and have 3 children. Our daughter Corianne is 21 and is a Jr. at the University of Alabama, ROLL TIDE!!. Our sons are Lincoln, who is 19, and Landon, who is 12. They keep us very busy and entertained with their many interests and activities!
We attend ClearView Baptist Church, where I have been a teacher in the 1 yr old classroom for the past 5 years. I LOVE the babies!!
Encores has been my “job” for the past 19 years and I absolutely love it! It does not even feel “right” to call it a job, because it is so much fun and such a blessing to our family. I cannot believe the tremendous growth that this business has seen over the years- I never dreamed it would become what it has grown into today. God has truly blessed this sale and there is nothing better than hearing and seeing how it has blessed so many families over the years. When I am not working at Encores, I am a stay at home mom.
My favorite things to do are play tennis, travel with my family, play with my precious dog Pepper, watch movies, and read.
I am Connie Hasty, the “short one”! I was born and raised in the Nashville/Brentwood area of Tennessee, as was my husband Phil Hasty, who runs his family’s plumbing business. We celebrated our 25th anniversary in 2011 and have two grown children: our son Robby who lives in Denver and sweet Erin whom many of you know from working at the sale, who is a graduate student.
I love a bargain and especially love little baby clothes! It doesn’t seem that long ago that we started Encores in my garage. We had a boy rack and a girl rack, and all the rest fit nicely on my driveway and deck! We’ve come a long way since then, thanks to our loyal consignors and most of all, many blessings from God! I feel very fortunate to have a job that is a blessing to so many families in our community. And I love working with Russie, she always makes me laugh, especially when we are tired and silly!
In the “off-consignment-season,” Phil and I are trained disaster responders with Hope Force International and also through our church Woodmont Hills. We’ve worked in both the US and other countries helping folks recover from tornadoes, hurricanes, and floods. I love building things and power tools! I also volunteer in local elementary school that services a large refugee community and am currently learning Spanish. Gracias!!
